Responsibilities

- Develop and Optimize AI Models: Design, implement, and fine-tune generative AI models, including large language models, to personalize teaching experiences and improve student outcomes.
- Conduct Research: Stay updated on the latest AI trends and advancements, applying state-of-the-art methodologies like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and multi-modal models to create innovative educational solutions.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including educators, designers, and product managers, to align AI solutions with educational goals and user needs.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize robust data analytics to provide insights that drive improvements in instructional decisions, school programming, and professional development.
- Contribute to Curriculum Enhancement: Support the development of high-quality instructional materials integrated with AI tools to enhance curriculum management and personalization.
- Implement Best Practices: Ensure the reliability and scalability of AI solutions by adhering to software engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage in Knowledge Sharing: Author research papers or white papers to share findings and contribute to the broader AI and EdTech communities.

Requirements

- At least 1+ year working with generative AI models.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and evaluation of large language model applications.
- Proficiency in Python programming and version control.
- Strong understanding of the latest AI trends and practices to maintain state-of-the-art solutions.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Education: PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:
- Experience in the EdTech industry or a strong interest in K-12 education.
- Knowledge of educational pedagogy or curriculum development.
- Hands-on experience with multi-modal models.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest or experience in authoring research papers or white papers.
