🇺🇸 Prompt Engineer - Consultant Full time

SquarePeg is a B2B SaaS startup in Recruiting Tech, building a flagship new product that will drastically improve how employers evaluate job candidates. We are venture-backed and have 50+ customers for our new stealth-mode product. We are looking for a prompt-engineer to help us do some incredible foundational work on skill-matching, job title-matching, and other key areas. This is a great opportunity to do cutting-edge work on prompting, and can lead to a full time position or remain as a fractional consultant.

- Design and optimize prompts for advanced language model applications.
- Collaborate with domain experts to integrate domain-specific language into prompts.
- Develop and implement evaluation metrics to assess prompt effectiveness.
- Refine prompts iteratively to enhance model performance.
- Provide guidance on systematic and programmatic prompting techniques.
- Address model failures and ensure transparency in AI-generated content.

- In-depth experience in prompt engineering with GPT or Claude over the past 12-24 months.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS product development and prompt tooling.
- Experience with strategies like Chain of thought prompting, reinforcement prompting, and self-correction
- Understanding of Programmatic prompting, prompting APIs, and Evaluation metrics
- Experience with semantic matching, contextual awareness, and data augmentation
- Strong understanding of large language models, including transformers and attention mechanisms.
- Proficiency in designing structured prompts and managing tokenization.
- Awareness of ethical considerations and bias mitigation in AI outputs.
- Experience with tools like OpenAI API, LangChain, and Anthropic’s API.
