Responsibilities

- Create and Optimize Prompts: Design, develop, and refine high-quality prompts for large language models (LLMs) and image-generative AI systems to ensure relevant, accurate, and creative outputs tailored to business needs.
- Experiment and Iterate: Conduct experiments with different prompt formulations to identify effective strategies for improving model behavior, accuracy, and creativity. Iterate based on results and feedback.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and product teams to understand project requirements and incorporate prompt design into model development processes.
- Monitor and Evaluate Model Performance: Track and evaluate the performance of prompts across various model versions and applications, identifying opportunities for improvements in prompt efficacy.
- Stay Current on AI Trends: Keep up to date with the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP) and generative models, including new techniques for prompt engineering and optimization.
- Document and Share Knowledge: Maintain thorough documentation on prompt development practices, learnings, and best practices. Share insights across teams to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.

Requirements

- Prompt Engineering Experience: At least 1 year of experience in prompt engineering, with a demonstrated ability to create and optimize effective prompts for generative AI models.
- Experience with AI Models: Hands-on experience with different types of large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT) or image generation models (e.g., DALLΒ·E, Stable Diffusion).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly express prompt strategies and model behavior to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Analytical and Iterative Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to design and evaluate experiments to improve model outputs. Comfort with iteration and adapting strategies based on feedback.

- Creative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and push the boundaries of model outputs through innovative prompt designs.

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:
- Experience with various generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Cloud AI, etc.).
- Familiarity with Python or other programming languages commonly used in AI/ML tasks is desirable. Understanding of AI model behavior and fine-tuning is a plus.
- Familiarity with model fine-tuning and how it relates to prompt performance.
- Previous work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
