Job Description

Great Hill is seeking a Prompt Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO. This initiative focuses on integrating generative artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models (LLMs), to enhance tactical efficiency and decision-making capabilities across combatant commands. Candidates will play a critical role in developing and executing test plans, analyzing data, and delivering actionable insights while shaping Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for GAI usage in operational contexts.
This position offers the opportunity to work with classified data, leverage state-of-the-art AI tools, and contribute to national security objectives in a collaborative environment at facilities in and around Colorado Springs. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in AI systems, operational testing, and joint-service integration, with a commitment to excellence in project execution and deliverables.

Responsibilities

- Develop and Optimize AI Prompts: Design, refine, and optimize prompt engineering techniques for generative AI models, ensuring high-quality outputs while addressing biases, hallucinations, and ethical considerations.
- Conduct Operational Testing: Develop and execute test plans, analyze data, and validate AI model outputs through Verification, Validation, and Uncertainty Quantification (VVUQ) processes.
- Enhance Tactical Efficiency: Integrate generative AI technologies to improve tactical decision-making capabilities and shape Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for operational use.
- Collaborate on National Security Objectives: Work with classified data and state-of-the-art AI tools in a collaborative environment to support national security goals.
- Support Joint-Service Integration: Leverage expertise in AI systems and operational testing to contribute to joint-service initiatives and enhance interoperability across combatant commands.

Requirements

- Experience in GAI development, focusing on prompt engineering and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Proven ability to optimize prompt engineering across platforms while addressing biases, hallucinations, and ethical considerations.
- Strong technical knowledge of deep learning architectures, frameworks, AI hallucinations, and bias mitigation.
- Experience in Verification, Validation, and Uncertainty Quantification (VVUQ) processes for AI outputs.
- Requires 2–8 years in prompt development, GAI deployment, and AI data analysis.
- Must possess a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Previous experience with Joint Test & Evaluation or operational testing. (desired)
